Pesticide Collection Effort Underway

Posted: Updated:

The North Dakota Department of Agriculture's annual pesticide collection effort is underway.

Project Safe Send accepts old, unusable, or banned pesticides. This includes herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides, and fungicides. All of the pesticides are shipped out of state and incinerated. If you have more than 1,000 pounds of pesticide, you will need to pre-register.  A maximum of 20,000 pounds of pesticides per person will be accepted.

Collections will run from July 11-July 25 at Department of Transportation facilities across the state.

For more information, contact the North Dakota Department of Agriculture at 800-242-7535.
