Minot State Golf Coach Dwight Farrell Resigns

Posted: Updated:
The Minot State men's golf team will be looking for a new coach. Dwight 'Chipper' Farrell resigned after 7 years with the school. Farrell led the men's and women's teams to 6 conference championships in his tenure and the women made the NAIA national tournament in 2009. Whitney Aberle has been the women's coach for the last two seasons and will continue in that position. There will be a nationwide search for the new men's job. At 65, Farrell told me that he thought it was time for a younger coach.
