Bison Quarterback Gears Up for a Busy Summer

Posted: Updated:

The college football season may take place in the fall, but there really is no off-season for the players.

Century's Carson Wentz is enjoying his only time off all summer is this week over the holiday break.

Otherwise the Bison quarterback has his days full with work and football.

"The summers are definitely a grind. Usually, you wake up early in the morning to lift weights four times a week and a lot of guys have job. And I personally work outside in the sun, and it's kind of a grind. And then, you comeback later at night,  three or four times a week, and run at night. Then, you eat dinner by 8:00 p.m., and you have to do throwing groups on your own. So, it's quite a grind in the summer," says Wentz.

North Dakota State is the two-time defending F.C.S. national champion. The Bison open at Kansas State in late August.
