I've been in broadcasting now for more than 27 years, working at radio and television stations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho and Nevada. Moving east to the prairie and rolling farmland of North Dakota is a new adventure for me.
During my career, I've had the opportunity to cover a wide variety of stories and events. From interviewing celebrities… to racing a 1200 pound farm hog… to being a media witness for a firing squad execution. It's always something different and that's what I love about this job.
I also enjoy getting to know the people, no matter where I've worked. I'm always reminded how much of a connection people have with the folks they depend on for news, weather and other information. It's a pleasure to get to know you and the places you call home.
In my spare time, I like to explore. Sometimes, it's behind the wheel of my Jeep. Sometimes, it's rummaging through a local thrift store or garage sale… looking for that little treasure I didn't know I needed. I also love music… the Beatles, bluegrass and Bach. It's all good to me. I also have to two wonderful children who are still the lights of my life, even though they're grown now and living their own lives.
