Lunde Appointed Minot Public School Activities Director

Posted: Updated:

He spent his college years in the Magic City, and now Mitch Lunde is back and continuing his professional career. Lunde will be the new Minot Public Schools activities director starting next Monday. He was in the same position in Beulah for the past nine years and is looking forward to the new challenge.

"It's Minot High, I mean when you think of Minot High School, it's one of the best in the state and we're going to continue that tradition, and I look forward to being a part of that to make Minot High and Minot Public School District continue to be one of the best schools in the state of North Dakota," Lunde says.

Lunde will be faced with some challenges when he takes over the job next week. One of the issues he wants to tackle is making the internet Magi-fan friendly.

"You always want to be looking to improve and online, I think we can do a little more technology-wise from what I've seen, providing more information to patrons and fans and parents in all the activities, so that they know a little bit more information of what's going on in that technology aspect."

Lunde says he'll be in a less stressful position here in Minot.

Back in Beulah he was both the activities director and a school principal.
