I am a Minnesota native, born and raised on the Iron Range-possibly the only place that has colder winters than North Dakota. One fun fact about me is that I really dislike the cold, and I'm usually in denial about the winter temps, so don't be surprised if you see me wearing flip flops-even if it's 40 below outside! As a newcomer to Bismarck, I'm having a great time exploring the city and meeting new people.
I graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth with a degree in journalism. During my junior and senior year at CSS, I was an anchor and producer for the college's weekly newscast. I was responsible for enterprising, producing, and reporting newsworthy stories that took place on the campus and around the Twin Ports. I was also given the opportunity to write for the college's public relations and marketing teams.
During a summer internship with Townsquare Media, I gained a lot of valuable experience in social media and writing. I also had the privilege to do some on-air work for the KBMX morning show, along with hosting live spots for ESPN on the day of Grandma's Marathon.
I discovered my passion for news at a very young age. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and more than excited to become a part of the Bismarck community. So, on that note, if you have a great story to share, don't hesitate to email me! I'd love to hear from you.
