Fargo Brewing Company Closer to Brewing in Fargo

Posted: Updated:

It's an exciting day for the Fargo Brewing Company, as they are now closer than ever to brewing their beer in Fargo. Their brewing equipment and fermenting tanks arrived yesterday and today for install at the new brewery, located at 610 North University Drive in Fargo.

Currently Fargo Brewing Co. contracts with Sand Creek Brewery in Wisconsin to bottle and keg their beer, a process that will end once the Fargo brewery is up and running.

Aaron Hill, one of the founders, says they'll not only produce kegs and cans at their brewery but also plan to provide a tasting room and maybe even a restaurant for guests at the brewery. "Hopefully next year sometime maybe we can start working on the retail end of it, get a tap room which will be kind of a tasting room or a bar."

Once on-line the brewery will be a 20 barrel brew house, making it the largest brewery in the state of North Dakota. At full production running 24 hours, five days a week, the brewery could produce 24,000 barrels of product a year.

Hill and the other three founders hope to start test brewing in their new equipment in about two weeks, start keg production by mid summer and be fully operational by the end of summer into fall.
