The Mandan Braves are obviously excited they won the Class-A state baseball title this weekend.
You could definitely tell that tonight at the team's celebratory bell-ringing ceremony, when the seniors broke the rope while ringing the bell.
Supporters filled the Mandan High School gym to help congratulate the team and players say that meant a lot.
"It's a great feeling knowing that we brought a state championship back to Mandan after 5 years," said senior Parker Harm. "People probably thought that we weren't going to win another one. It just feels great to make the community proud and bring it back to Mandan."
The Braves say this team came together throughout the season, and that's what helped them win the school's second state title.
"It feels great, it seems like everybody's looking at the team like those guys are state champs, that's awesome," said senior Jared Walters. "It's great, it puts a smile on everyone's faces. I guess we couldn't have done it if we hadn't came together as a team and that just progressed as the season went on."
A good chunk of this team will start playing legion baseball for the Mandan Chiefs later this week so that is good news for Mandan.
