The last time Bismarck hosted the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference, Lou Holtz was a speaker.
The Conference was back in the Capital City today and so was Holtz.
North Dakota has exported millions of barrels of oil, but their recent football export was a popular topic for the former coach. Holtz is impressed with Carson Wentz.
"I like the fact he's obviously very talented. They ran a lot of rests on him and they looked at film of him. To be the second player picked in the NFL is quite an accomplishment but I think also his character and leadership and his intelligence go a great deal to being successful on the NFL or even for North Dakota State where he had a great career,"said Holtz.
With oil prices low, Holtz's conference speech theme was coaching in difficult times.
