Dickinson State University's women's basketball team has gotten the 2015-16 season off to a flying start.
The Bluehawks are 4-0 with wins over both Minot State and the University of Mary in the preseason.
The team is averaging nearly 84 points a game through those four wins. With plenty of new faces in the Bluehawks locker room to start the season the wins are nice, but exhibition games are a learning experience as the the girls get acquainted with each other.
"I think, if nothing else this will give our ladies confidence," said head coach Mark Graupe. "We can show up and play teams. That we're not going to be intimidated. That, 'Hey, no matter who's the foe we're going to be able to compete with them.'"
"The best part about this team is that we're all learning our roles and that's why were clicking cause we're all learning our niche in the game," senior Megan Klein said.
The Bluehawks are on the road Saturday as they take on the NAIA Division I's sixth ranked team, Montana Northern. Tip off is at 1:30 p.m. MDT.
