Bison Football Signing Day

The five-time FCS national champions have always done an excellent job of landing the in-state offensive linemen, and it looks like the Bison have done it again.

Chris Klieman announced the addition of 26 players to the Bison program on Wednesday.

Here are the athletes from North Dakota with information provided by the NDSU Sports Information Department.

QUINN ALO, OL, 6-2, 336, Fr., LaMoure, N.D./LaMoure HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter who played offensive and defensive line under coach Andy DelaBarre, a former NDSU tight end...Three-time all-state and all-region selection...Helped LaMoure to the 2014 Region 1 championship and four 9-man playoff appearances...2015 Region 1 co-Senior Athlete of the Year...Totaled 80 tackles with 16 tackles for loss and eight sacks his senior year...Also blocked two punts...Starting center on the basketball team and first baseman on the baseball team...PERSONAL: Born Sept. 24, 1997...Son of Kathy Quinlan-Alo of LaMoure, N.D...Family includes three sisters, Brandy, Katie and Abby.

ZACH KUBAS, OL, 6-4, 260, Fr., Dickinson, N.D./Trinity HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterman and three-year starter for Trinity under coach John Odermann...Three-time all-conference and all-region pick...Helped lead the Titans to a 6-4 record in 2015 and the school's first playoff berth in six years...PERSONAL: Born July 18, 1998...Son of Monte and Susan Kubas of Dickinson, N.D...Has a younger brother, Jacob, and a younger sister, Abbey...Both parents are NDSU graduates...Father played defensive line for the Bison from 1991-94.

ZAK KUNTZ, FB, 6-2, 251, Fr., Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter at fullback for Red River under coach Vyrn Muir...Two-time all-state and all-conference honoree...Also played running back, defensive end and linebacker...Set school records for career and single-season and single-game defensive points...PERSONAL: Born July 21, 1997...Son of Mike and Tanya Kuntz of Grand Forks, N.D...Oldest of six children including three brothers and two sisters...Father was an All-North Central Conference outside linebacker for North Dakota, where he played from 1988-93.

BRAYDON LUND, TE, 6-3, 246, Fr., Minot, N.D./Minot HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter at defensive end and two-year starter at tight end for coach Barry Holmen...Part of two North Dakota Class 3A state runner-up football teams in 2014 and 2015...Two-time all-state and all-conference tight end...Led Minot in receiving his final two seasons...Made 37 catches for 423 yards and four TDs his junior year...had 42 catches for 739 yards and four TDs as a senior...Totaled 34 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks and 10 quarterback hurries his senior year...Also had a forced fumble, two recoveries, one interception and three pass breakups...Team captain in football and basketball...Two-time all-conference center in basketball...Earned a spot on the all-state tournament team in leading the Magicians to a 26-1 record and the Class A state title in 2015...PERSONAL: Born Oct. 28, 1997...Son of Stacie Lund of Minot, N.D.

KARSON SCHOENING, OL, 6-4, 320, Fr., Rolla, N.D./Rolla HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines for North Prairie under coach Terry Motl...Two-time all-state first team...Three-time all-region first team...Totaled 63 tackles his senior year in helping lead North Prairie to a 9-man state runner-up finish...Also competes on the baseball and basketball teams...Two-time all-region infielder and pitcher on the diamond and two-time all-district center in basketball...PERSONAL: Born Sept. 22, 1997...Son of Ryan and Marie Schoening of Rolla, N.D...Family includes one older brother.

CORDELL VOLSON, OL, 6-6, 250, Fr., Balfour, N.D./Drake HS
HIGH SCHOOL: Five-year starter and two-time captain for the Drake/Anamoose Raiders under coaches Chris Arnold and Ethan Brooks...Two-time all-region and all-state selection, including first team honors in 2015...Played offensive and defensive line, tight end, fullback, linebacker, punter and kicker...Totaled 239 tackles, 28 sacks, five forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries in his career...Also blocked 14 punts and intercepted a pass...All-district performer on the basketball court...Averaging a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds per game...Set school records for points in a game (33) and blocked shots in a season (35)...PERSONAL: Born July 20, 1998...Son of Ralph and Wendy Volson of Balfour, N.D...Older brother, Tanner, is an offensive lineman for the Bison...Also has two younger brothers, Zack and Kyle.
