Anytime Fitness lives up to its name. They gym is open 24 hours a day.
"People are busy," says manager Rebecca Evans. " So if you`re trying to accommodate people who have children and work, you can work out around those hours."
The gym offers the usual equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, weights,
plus some unexpected touches.
"We don`t have locker rooms." says Evans. "However, we have private bathrooms. Since we`re 24 hours, we thought it would be more secure to be able to go in there and lock the door."
Members enter the building by scanning a key. It brings up a photo ID on the computer. There is also a surveillance system with multiple cameras. For an extra precaution the gym also offers security necklaces. Just press the button to call 911. They`re waterproof, so they even work in the shower. Another perk: five plasma TVs as well as individual screens on some of the machines. A perfect gift for those looking to make fitness a New Year`s resolution.
Anytime Fitness in Mandan is not associated with the Bismarck gym of the same name. The company is planning to open a Bismarck location in February.
