Landfill South of Williston to Hold Radioactive Waste

Posted: 02/12/2016 - The production of oil and natural gas creates some undesirable byproducts. They include toxic and radioactive waste that needs to be disposed of. Since the first of the year, a certain amount of radioactive waste is allowed at certain waste sites with a permit. Right now such waste is supposed to be taken out of state to a landfill that accepts it, but that could soon change.
