Williston Man Arrested for Stealing Explosives Used in Oil Fields

A Williston man has been arrested and charged with stealing 230 small explosives used in the oil fields.

Williams County Sheriff's Office reports Tyler Porter stole the explosives and stored them at his house.

The 35-year-old is facing felony charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers searched Porter's home and say they found many items that were reported stolen. They say they also found meth paraphernalia.

Porter is being held on a $1 million bond at the Williams County Correctional Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 7.
