In the crowd of at least a hundred people who attended the meeting on the surge bill was a group of 40 from Williston.
They came to tour the capitol and heritage center but they took time to sit in on the meeting and share their support for the legislation.
"I'm encouraged by the positiveness by everybody whose testified so far and we'll just have to see how it shakes out and the speed. It's obviously never fast enough," said Scott Meske, president of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce.
Included in his group who came to the capitol was three high school students who are part of a young leadership group.
