Update: Bismarck Man Changes Plea

By  |

A Bismarck man facing seven felonies and one misdemeanor changed his pleas today.

Fifty-seven-year-old Richard Gourneau pleaded guilty to all of the counts against him. He's been charged with five counts of Aggravated Assault, one count of Simple Assault, one count of Theft of Property, and one count of Terrorizing.

Gourneau says he didn't remember attacking five people because he was using meth with a few of them before things got violent. He says he just remembers waking up in a car in Washington State.

The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation for both sides and a psych evaluation for Gourneau.
