Stray Bullet From Shootout Injures Dickinson Man

A 59-year-old Dickinson man was wounded Saturday afternoon after being struck by a stray bullet.

Police say that there were multiple gun shots fired at 2:21 p.m. in the Heartland Village neighborhood in southeast Dickinson.

They say the shootout happened in the street. A round went through a trailer door and hit the man, who wasn't involved in the shooting. The man was treated at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson.

The shooters left the scene before police arrived. Dickinson Police say they believe the incident wasn't random, but targeted at specific people who were directly involved. Anyone with information is asked to call law enforcement at 701-456-7759.
