State Supreme Court Hears Stensaker Murder Case

The North Dakota Supreme Court is now seeing the case of a Williston man convicted in 2014 of murdering a rancher.

A jury convicted Ryan Stensaker in December 2014 of murder in the death of Jack Sjol.

Last May, Judge David Nelson sentenced Stensaker to life in prison with the chance of parole after 25 years, citing a belief that there may have been others involved in the crime.

The court will rule on whether to overturn the conviction in the next month.
