K9 units from the Dickinson Police Department and the Morton County Sheriff's Office found narcotics contraband and other contraband near Mott/Regent High School and Junior High School.

The units worked with the Hettinger County Sheriff's Office to search the high school and junior high school.

The school was locked down during the search and students involved were referred to juvenile and district courts.

Hettinger Sheriff Sarah Warner says the narcotic contraband was found in a car parked on the street next to the school and the other contraband items were found in two cars parked on the school's parking lot.
