Minot Woman Admits to Strangling Infant

New details have emerged in the death of 3-month-old girl in Minot this week.

Authorities arrested 45-year-old Pauline Stewart Monday and charged her with the murder of her infant.

They say during a traffic stop in McLean county, the deputy grew concerned over the well-being of the child when she told him she left the child at home.

Police officers found the child dead in Stewart's Minot apartment.

Court documents say during the course of the investigation, Stewart admitted to both the McLean County deputy and investigators with the Minot Police Department that she strangled her daughter to death.

In her initial court appearance today, Judge Richard Hagar set Stewart's bond at $100,000.

Her next court appearance is April 23.
