Midcontinent to Build Additional Network Redundancy in Western ND

By  |

Midcontinent Communications is investing $5 million to build an extension of its Northern Plains Network from Williston to Bismarck.

The extension will add 100 miles of fiber to the current fiber run from Minot to Williston, which will provide network redundancy in construction and digging areas that have caused periodic service outages to local residents and businesses.

Construction on the fiber extension begins in early 2015. The project is expected to finish by mid-summer 2015.
