Last week Bismarck and Mandan city employees went blue to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect.
There was also a prize on stake for the city that could get the most employees to wear blue. Mandan came away with the prize and Mayor Arlyn Van Beek was on hand to accept the trophy.
"I tell you what, this was a lot of fun between the two cities and for myself as mayor. You know to see all of our employees and all of our city staff take part in this for such a great cause and prevent child abuse North Dakota," said Van Beek.
Mandan had 30 percent more city employees wear blue than Bismarck.
