The City of Mandan is getting curbside single-sort recycling for single and multi-family homes.
The unanimous decision happened on Aug. 18.
Costs for the service will include a 96 gallon tote and pick up every other week and is estimated to be under $10 a month for each household and will be added to utility bills.
Residents will not be able to opt out of this.
Right now, the city is looking into contracts and will present plans in September to the city commission.
Officials say they hope to start services Jan. 1, 2016.
