Vandals tagged multiple buildings in Mandan, including the newly renovated handicap accessible universal playground in Eagles Park Thursday morning.

The park district and police say they got a call at 6:30 a.m.

Police say all the damage was done with red and green spray paint, with a variety of words, numbers, characters and symbols.

Estimated damage to the building and playground equipment is approximately $5,000.

Graffiti was also found on the sides of the Lewis and Clark Elementary School building, on the old junior high building, and an apartment garage next to Eagles Park.

Police say an estimate for those damages is not available at the time, but could be several thousand dollars.

The Mandan Park District is offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
