On Monday evening, Mandan police responded to an incident at the Law Enforcement Center.

A Mandan woman had obtained a protection order and was waiting at the Law Enforcement Center to get an escort for property retrieval. Her boyfriend showed up and was served the paperwork by a Morton County deputy.

The boyfriend, 32-year-old Jaiden Anderson, drove off in the woman's vehicle and struck another car.

Mandan police attempted to stop Anderson, who fled in the vehicle. He eventually came back to the Law Enforcement Center and parked in front of the building, refusing to get out of the vehicle.

Anderson was talked into surrendering and was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held at the Morton County Correctional Center. Anderson has been charged with violating a protection order, reckless endangerment and fleeing.
