The Barber's Wife Creates Buzz in Bismarck

A new barbershop in Bismarck is creating a buzz.

"I'm excited to just kind of change the way that guys look on the streets. I'm excited to give guys a really solid haircut," said owner Hannah Vetter.

David and Hannah Vetter met while working at a barbershop in Minneapolis, and after getting married in February, decided to move back to David's hometown and open The Barber's Wife.

"It was something Bismarck needed. A lot of the older barbers are retiring and I knew it was a niche we needed to fill," said David.

The space at 116 N. Fifth Street is exactly what the couple was looking for.

"We really wanted to be in the up-and-coming area, and we're super lucky to be in this spot," Hannah said.

The Barber's Wife opened on Tuesday. David says so far they've had a warm welcome.

"Telling us it's the best place in the world to barber, Bismarck is so it's, yeah. Overall the clientele has been super generous and we're really happy that we're here, which we feed off of," said David.

Walk-ins are welcome, or appointments can be made online.

The Barber's Wife is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
