Investigation into Minot Officer Involved Shooting Complete

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation has completed the investigation into the Sept. 13 officer involved shooting in Minot.

The shooting involved a 32-year-old male subject who was shot in the leg by Minot Police Officer James Jabara, and was a result of a suspicious person call at a southeast Minot residence.

The North Dakota Attorney General's Office reviewed the results of the investigation and declined to bring any prosecution.

The incident was also investigated and reviewed by the Minot Police Department. The officer's actions were determined to be within department policy.

The investigation is now closed.
