The Mandan City Fire Department responded to a garage fire at around 5 o'clock this afternoon.
The fire took place behind the 400 block of 3rd Avenue Northwest. No one was injured.
The call originally came in for a motorcycle on fire, but the flames spread to the garage. Two fire trucks and a ladder truck arrived quickly to the scene, along with several police cars.
"Dispatch indicated that the garage was also on fire so we upgraded the assignment to full assignment and we arrived on location. We found the motorcycle on fire. It extended a little bit into the garage. We had to stretch an inch-and-three-quarter line and we were able to put it out relatively quickly," Patrick Martin, Mandan City Fire Department Captain.
Martin says that the fire caused about 15 hundred dollars worth of damages.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
