Nothing says "Fourth of July celebration" like an annual parade. Mandan is one place to catch the action tomorrow.
The parade committee says about 125 floats will dazzle main street. Preparations started in January with meetings, advertising and rounding up all the businesses and agencies to take part.
Floats will start lining up at 10:20 Saturday morning, and should hit Main Street by 11 a.m. The grand marshal this year will be Cloverdale Foods, celebrating 100 years of business in Mandan. You can expect some of the main attractions which started last year, back by popular demand.
"We're trying costumes, we'll have people walking around with different costumes on so see if you recognize your favorite characters out there," said Dennis Friesz, parade committee chairperson.
You can expect at least a dozen characters, like Mickey Mouse and ninja turtles just to name a couple.
