Dickinson Organization Addresses Teenage Depression

One in four people can suffer from mental health issues, and an organization called Active Minds is especially concerned about how teenagers deal with depression.

Active Minds was at Dickinson High School today to remind students that they aren't alone.

"We're hoping just to eliminate some of the stigma attached with it and let kids know it's ok to talk about it and open up to somebody and hopefully they can get the help that they need," said parent Lana Dutchak.

If you or someone you know suffers from depression or thoughts of suicide, the National Suicide Hotline is there to help at 1-800-273-TALK.
