Dickinson Couple Loses Home, Pets and Majority of Possessions in Friday Night Fire

A Dickinson couple is without a home after a fire Friday night. The two were renting the trailer home on Villard St. and do not have renters insurance according to the Dickinson Press.

In the article the Dickinson Fire Chief said a pet chihuahua and a cat died in the fire and only a handful of personal items were salvaged.

The trailer was less than 50 feet from the Paragon bowling alley which was evacuated for a short time while firefighters fought the flames.

The fire chief says the damage is so extensive that it's difficult to say what caused the fire, but he believes it started at the front of the trailer.

The American Red Cross is helping the couple.
