Bismarck-Mandan Summer Reading Celebration Event

The Bismarck-Mandan Summer Reading Celebration Event kicked off earlier today.

The theme of todays summer reading program was Every hero has a story and the program hopes to encourage children to keep reading throught the summer.

"It's just so good for them to keep reading at the end of the school year so that they don't lose their abilities into the next school year and also because reading is such a good lifelong talent," said Traci Juhala Bismarck Public Library youth services

Lady Betsy Dalrymple, Secretary of State Al Jaeger and Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle were all in attendance for the event.
