Bismarck-Mandan Recognized for Being Bike Friendly

By  |

If you're in the Bismarck-Mandan area and have a bike, today might be a good day to get out and ride. League of American Bicyclists is recognizing the area as a Bronze Award Level Bicycle Friendly Community.

That means the community has the space to ride and the education system teaching people how to ride.

According to league members, BisMan also ensures roads are safe for cyclists, plans for bicycling as a safe way to get around and creates a strong biking culture.

"We feel like this shows what we're already doing right in Bismarck, as far as being a bikable community, but also maybe gives us some ideas of, how do we make it better in the community?" asked Wendy Anderson-Berg, Go! Bismarck-Mandan.

It's also National Bike to Work Week. For more information, visit
