Bookworms were in for a special treat this afternoon at the Bismarck Public Library's spring book sale. The three day event ran Thursday through Saturday and featured over 50 thousand books for sale.
Shoppers were treated to bargain prices with books selling for a dollar a pound. The books were all donated to the library and the sale is expected to raise about 20 thousand dollars.
"Reading is knowledge and knowledge is something everyone needs to do well in life and succeed in careers and school," said Assistant Director Elizabeth James. "The more we get people reading, the better it is for our community and society. That's what we are here for."
If you missed the sale this time around, don't worry, they'll do it all again in the fall.
