Bismarck rural Fire Department responded to a fire at 3500 Arrow Ave. around 5 this morning.

The fire department says the homeowners woke up to their smoke detectors going off and discovered a small fire in their home.

They think the fire might have been started by a bolt of lightning. No one was injured in the fire and it's currently under investigation.

The early morning thunderstorms also caused a short power outage for some Bismarck residents.
