Two children in Mandan were removed from their home yesterday after police found their living conditions to be unsafe.
Mandan Police helped with the enforcement of a custody order yesterday and when they arrived, a 33-year-old Mandan woman told them the child was not in the house, but when they went inside they found the child. At that point, police determined the home was not suitable for children.
They say they found animal feces on the floor, soiled mattresses and weapons, including a shotgun, within reach of the children.
The woman and a 34-year-old Mandan man were both arrested for Child Abuse and Neglect. Both are being held in the Morton County Correctional Center.
