It`s been around two years since Wayne Kranzler and LaRoy Kingsley changed the title on their downtown office.
"We`ve been partners since 1989 when we took over this firm," said CEO Wayne Kranzler.
Kranzler says the reason for the name change reflected a changing trend in the industry. KK Bold, which has a staff of 31, handles web design and ad campaigns for clients all over the country.
"The bulk of our business is actually coming out of market. We do business in the state of Washington, California, Nevada, Minnesota, South Dakota, throughout the western United States," said President LaRoy Kingsley.
"Exciting is one word for it," Kranzler said.
The firm does more than just traditional brochures and TV ads. This being an election year, they`re quite involved in statewide political campaigns.
"Especially the initiative referral work we do is a specialty. We do more of that than anyone else in the state," Kranzler said.
The firm has also grown more sophisticated in how it spreads a client`s message and presents the material.
"In the past, we`d have worked with standard items like storyboards, where you`d draw them out. Now we`re actually taking that storyboard to video because there`s software and components that are available," Kingsley said.
A plan that also includes social media. And with elections less than two months away, the firm is guaranteed to have even more long days ahead.
Besides the Bismarck office, KK Bold also employs three people in Minot.
