Saving on Christmas Gifts
Shoppers have less than two weeks to get presents wrapped and hidden under the tree. For many, that means rushing out to find something special for friends and loved ones.
When you`re searching for something to stuff into a stocking or nestle under the tree, a gift card is safe play being that it`s just as good as money.
"That`s what everybody says, they said, you don`t know what to buy somebody for Christmas, buy them a gift certificate. If they don`t like coffee, we do other things," said Charlyne Kemmesat, Boneshaker coffee owner.
And when it comes to coffee, why wait in line when you can brew it at home?
Kemmesat said, "But most of them we bring in real fresh, we do only whole beans, if they want them to be ground, we`ll grind them for them, but beans are a big thing."
Coffee can be a nice pick-me-up in the morning, but there`s one other place that will give you a boost any time of day.
"When they`re locked out of their car or a battery or who knows what happens with the kids or any age really? They have somebody to call who`s going to help them out without having to pay for it," said insurance agent Leilani Schatz.
If you have kids away at college or a friend or loved-one who lives miles away from help, a AAA membership can bring you peace of mind.
"There`s just a lot of savings with that. It`s a good gift because you can use it all year round," added Schatz..
Two gifts that will save time and potentially leave change in somebody else`s pocket this holiday season.
Schatz says if you join AAA before the end of the month, the company will waive the enrollment fee.
