BISMARCK, N.D. - University of Mary athletics has dealt with a number of changes this season.

They have acquired their third athletic director, lost their track and field coach, gained a new head football coach and now will be in search of a new head volleyball coach.

Thais Franca announced her resignation from the University of Mary after coaching four seasons for the Marauders.

While coaching in one of the nation’s most difficult conferences, Franca was able to turn the volleyball program around and have some of the best seasons U-Mary has had since joining the NCAA and NSIC.

Franca will move back to her home country of Brazil to be closer to family.
