Trinity Sports Medicine enhances service at Maysa Arena

MINOT, N.D. - The Trinity Sports Medicine Center at Maysa Arena is giving local athletes free initial sports injury evaluations on a no-appointment basis to anyone regardless of age, school or sport.

"When we started developing ideas for the new Pepsi Rink here at Maysa Arena, this is one of the things that we felt as a committee at that time that was really important for the community," said Trinity Sports Medicine Manager Robyn Gust. "We don't have anywhere for our ice users to go in general or the general public to go if they're hurt to be seen for an initial evaluation to know if they're good to do some things, or if we need to send them further for evaluation with another professional."

A certified athletic trainer will be on hand weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to help decide treatment steps.
