BEULAH, N.D. - Usually Friday is the day people can’t wait for because it’s the eve of the weekend. Well for high schools, it’s game day. The Southern McLean Roughriders travel over to Beulah this evening for a pretty big game.
The Miners are a team on the Roughriders radar, and head coach Josh Harvey has more feelings of excitement for this game than anything else.
"Every team should be excited to play them because, you know, they're champions, what, last year, so it's a, yeah every team should be excited to play them. It's something that you should look forward to playing a really good team no matter what. They're going to put their best 11 out there, we're going to put our best 11 out there, and, it's always fun to have that chess match against a really good opponent," said Harvey.
And, for this young and experienced team, it’s not just coach Harvey that is excited to enter their next game against Beulah, senior wide receiver Nolan Teigen said: "Yeah, they'll be tough, they'll probably be one of the best teams in the region, but we just got to go with confidence. And, know we can beat a team like that."
The Roughriders will try and go for that “w” tonight in Beulah. Kick-off is at 7:00 CT.
