BISMARCK, N.D. - Century split its two non-conference football games. After two outings, head coach Ron Wingenbach says the staff has some personnel decisions to make, but he likes that the Patriots were able to build some depth against the East.
In the win over Red River, Century showed some strength up front.
"To play a little more physical on the offensive and defensive lines. I thought week two we did a lot better job with that. There is still an awful lot of room for growth there always is at this time of the season and so that's our challenge this week. We have to match the physicality of Mandan. Just watching them on film they probably should be 2-0 rather than 1-1. They're going to bring it on Friday night," said Wingenbach.
Wingenbach says the Braves bring a lot of height. Being tall is usually something we talk about during basketball season, but Mandan has good size with its defensive ends, tight ends and receivers. Friday nights conference opener is at Feris Field in Mandan.
