BISMARCK, N.D. - For the first time, Division I football has moved its early signing period to December. North Dakota State has added 24 student-athletes to the Bison Football program, including eight from North Dakota. Shiloh Christian’s Bartholomew Ogbu is in that list.
It was not that long ago that the Nigeria native did not even know what football was. Now, he’s accepted a scholarship from one of the top FCS programs in the nation. "NDSU, the most important thing is that they've got the 3-days camp, I'll be honest with you. You know I had an offer from UND and from other schools, but when I went to NDSU's 3-days camp, you know being there and around their coaches and them coaching me for those three days, you know it's kind of like you go there and you earn your scholarship, you work your butt off and try to earn it, and that was the most important thing for me, coming in there and working really hard, " said Ogbu.
Ogbu picked the Bison over UND, Wyoming, Liberty, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
