NDSU Injury Update & Prep for Jackrabbits

FARGO, N.D. Chris Klieman’s weekly meeting with the media on Monday usually includes a little about last week, a lot about this week’s opponent, and if there’s anything new on the injury front.

Monday, we found a lot more about the hip injury to the guy who’s leading the FCS in touchdowns. Lance Dunn is going to be out for a while.

"They wanted to do a little more research. It's a torn labrum and when we found that out late last week that's when we decided to at least start working Seth in and I would say with my conversations with Bobby today, not looking likely he would play this season because he thinks it's 4 to 6 weeks and they're not going to do surgery," said Klieman.

This week is the Dakota Marker game. The annual rivalry game with South Dakota State and it’s in Brookings on Saturday.

Klieman says how: "obviously everybody talks about Weineke and Goedert and I'm really impressed with the quarterback. He's a great player and they have a senior running back that's doing some good things that's played for a long time. They're good up front. They can beat you in a verity of ways, running the football, throwing the football, running the quarterback and we have to have a great plan there's no secret to the plan. You try to keep their offense on the sidelines and you try to have your offense out there that's nothing new that's the formula to try to slow those guys down."

The Bison do have the no. 1 scoring defense in the country, so that will obviously help this week. The Jackrabbits are coming off a win at Western Illinois.

It’s a 2:00 CT start at the new Dana J Dykhouse stadium on the first Saturday in November. The Farmers Union Insurance Bison Football Pre-Game show is live and state-wide at 1:00 CT.
