BISMARCK, ND - Come for the games, Stay for the good times.

"It's better than Christmas, man," said Holly Murphy, an 18-year McQuade veteran.

More than 450 teams are in Bismarck this weekend, and they've come from far and wide.

"On one flight we had four teams from Vegas," said Missy McCormick, a member of HTSYC, a Women's C Division squad. "Two men's team's, two women's teams, so we bring everyone we can from Vegas because it's just such a blast here."

"Everyone's having a good time," said Dexter High of the All Air Force Alumni team. "No one's judging anybody. It's truly amazing, that if you haven't experienced McQuades, you need to try it at least once in your life."

So what's the draw for so many people?

"Great causes, and a good time," Murphy said. "It's the best weekend out of the year for sure."

With the country's largest softball tournament, comes some of the most innovative tailgaters around. Murphy has brought her cooler scooter for the last 10 years.

"Never seen it in Vegas, that's for sure," McCormick said. "That thing goes fast too. I'm pretty impressed. People from small towns man, they can really make whatever they want. I think that's so cool."

The scooter has brought Holly luck over the last 18 years. She's won three McQuades titles.

"Driving coolers, meeting new friends," Murphy said. "Winning games is kind of the best about it."

"It doesn't really matter if you win or lose," McCormick said. "We're just out here to have a good time honestly."

There's only one winner, but plenty of fun to go around.
