Marauders volleyball up against nationally ranked teams

BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary volleyball team has not had it easy for the past few years because of how competitive the Northern Sun Conference is. Half of the teams are nationally ranked.

U-Mary is not in the top 25, but the Marauders understand the level of difficulty and the amount of physicality that goes into each match.

"Although our record doesn't always show the strides that we've made, as a team, I think we've gotten a lot better, and now we're starting to really, truely compete in one of the toughest conferences in the nation,” said senior setter Katelyn Olsen. “So that's been really fun, and we're enjoying the wins that we are getting. I think all of us just really want to finish our season off on a really strong note. We always look forward to playing Minot, they're kind of our NSIC rival, so we're really looking forward to that game this week."

The Marauders play Minot State Tuesday, and Kaleigh Emery will put senior Lauren Randall in this week’s sports spotlight
