BISMARCK, N.D. - Now while it’s still early on in the football season for both high schools, and at the college level, the University of Mary Marauders will be back on the field Saturday for their second game of their season.
On Saturday they’ll be down in Wayne, NE to take on the Wildcats. After falling to Minnesota State in their first game last weekend, Head Coach Josh Kotelnicki is relying on the turnover margin to bounce back in week two.
"Look last year we we're minus 8 in turnovers, right now, we're sitting at 0s by the end of the weekend we're hoping to be on the plus side of things that's a pretty easy combination for winning football is taking away more footballs than you're giving up and so really that's the point of emphasis for us this week. They are definitely a talented team there's no question they will be in the playoff hunt at the end if they stay healthy I believe that."
And slotback Paul Guptil knows they’ll be successful if every player takes care of their job.
"It’s more about ourselves right now and getting what we need to get done and not worrying about what they're going to do just whatever they come out just be ready," said Guptil.
Kick-off for the Marauders is at 6:00 CT at Wayne State.
