BISMARCK, N.D. - After their successful inaugural season last year, the Bismarck Larks are already preparing for their second year. They signed North Dakota natives Spencer Gillund and Chase Gooding.
Gillund, and Enderlin native, spent two years playing for Bismarck State College, where he had 13 home runs, 11 doubles and batted a .410 with the Mystics. This will be Gillund’s third time signing with the Larks as he signed with them at the beginning of the season as a temporary player, and then signed to finish off the season. Gillund has also signed to play at North Dakota State next season.
Gooding is from West Fargo and has been playing at Allen Community College in Kansas, pitching 106 innings with 134 strike-outs. He is now a junior for the Charlotte 49ers in North Carolina.
The Larks begin their 2018 season May 29 hosting the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
