Dickinson Blue Hawks host Jamestown this weekend

DICKINSON, N.D. - Dickinson State's victory over Mayville State secured the Blue Hawks undefeated run through the North Star Conference. This is DSU's second straight league championship.

The Hawks play in Jamestown on Saturday. It's important because Dickinson State is 15th in the country, and it needs to be ranked as high as possible because the playoffs are coming up.

"Right now defensively we are playing really well. Our defensive front does a good job. Cain and the other guys in the secondary have done a great job. Our offensive line really played well, and we have depth at running back, and I think that's one thing that we've had an advantage with some of the teams we've played against is we have a lot of depth, and that's been a big thing for us, and we have a lot of older guys, but we still have a lot of freshman starting for us as well, and that's really nice," says Blue Hawks Head Coach Pete Stanton.

Saturday's game in Jamestown is a non-conference contest. The Blue Hawks beat the Jimmies 41-13 on Homecoming last month in Dickinson.
