FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State Bison hit the field for their first road game of the season to play Eastern Washington out of the Big Sky Conference. Now, just because they Eagles are not in the Missouri Valley with the Bison, this FCS team is one NDSU has to watch out for.
Quarterback Easton Stick knows that it won’t be an easy game like last week against Mississippi Valley State.
"It's going to be a tough game. obviously they're known for being super dynamic on offense, but, you know I would say they've got a ton of play makers on defense," said Stick. "Guys that, in the secondary really fly around, and, you know they're returning a couple linebackers that have played against us, and those guys are all over the field, athletic, and can do some different things, and so, and then they're tough up front. They move around, they show multiple fronts and stuff like that, and so it's going to be a tough one."
For some, this Eastern Washington team will bring new challenges to Saturday’s game, but for the Bison’s offensive coordinator Coach Messingham has dealt with them before.
"I've seen Eastern Washington in the past, I've played against them last year, know the style of football they're used to playing, the success they're used to having, but we'll have all we want come Saturday out there, and it's got to be, you know you've got to be ready to play," said Messingham.
Kick-off for this non-conference game is Saturday at 3:00 CT. You can watch the game on the KFYR/KVLY Bison Network. The Pre-Game show will begin at 2:00 CST.
